My creative process vacillates. Meaning some days I'll write a verse, have it memorized before I finish the last pen stroke and hit the booth to do my thang. Other days, I'll make it up as I go with just an idea of what I want to say. In this session, I'm pretty much making it up as I go...lol. Before I went into the booth, I listened to the track, got the flow rhythmn in my mind and scribbled down some ideas of what I wanted to say..not really having it all mapped out. Oh well, this is supposed to be fun right? I just wanted to play around with stuff and not feel so confined to words I'd previously memorized. So, here I am in the booth putting the flow feel with some words I had floating around in my thoughts. In this video you'll see me laying down "Time After Time" which is a remix of Cyndi Lauper's version and which will be on my upcoming mixtape. This is part of my creative process in its barest form, no bells, no whistles, no rehearsal, no added effects...just me and my naturally silly self semi-writing on the fly! lol
